Behind the Beats: My Journey into Electronic Music Production and Creative Expression

Music isn't just a passion for me; it's a language through which I express my thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Since 2019, I've been immersed in the world of electronic music production, crafting sounds that resonate with listeners and tell stories without words. On 16th June 2021, I released my first EP, "LAFZ," a culmination of years of learning, experimenting, and refining my craft.


Inspirations That Shape My Sound

Every artist draws inspiration from those they admire. For me, two significant influences have been Anirudh Ravichander and the dynamic world of rap music.

  • Anirudh Ravichander: Known for his innovative compositions and seamless blend of traditional and contemporary sounds, Anirudh's work has been a constant source of inspiration. His ability to evoke deep emotions through music encourages me to push boundaries and explore new musical landscapes.

  • Rap Music: The raw energy, storytelling, and rhythmic complexity of rap have profoundly impacted my approach to music. The genre's emphasis on lyrical depth and beat-driven narratives has influenced the way I structure my tracks and convey messages.


Crafting a Track: My Creative Process

Creating music is a journey that begins with a simple idea and evolves into a full-fledged composition. Here's how I approach it:

  1. Conceptualization: Every track starts with a concept or emotion I wish to convey. Whether it's a personal experience, a societal observation, or an abstract feeling, this core idea guides the entire composition.

  2. Beat Making: The rhythm is the heartbeat of any track. I focus on creating beats that complement the mood of the concept, ensuring they drive the track forward and engage the listener.

  3. Melody and Harmony: Layering melodies and harmonies adds depth and texture. I experiment with different sounds to find combinations that resonate with the track's theme.

  4. Arrangement: Structuring the track is crucial. I arrange the elements to create a dynamic flow, keeping the listener engaged from start to finish.

  5. Mixing and Mastering: The final step involves refining the track, balancing levels, and ensuring clarity. This process ensures that the track sounds polished and cohesive across all listening platforms.
